Gallery notes
The 'genre' links in the menu bar each contain a selection of illustrations of various scenes and objects which have caught my eye over the years. I'm partial to many artistic styles, from the "American Cool" artists of the 1920s and 1930s to the British Railway posters of the 1930s. I'm also fascinated by the complexity and colour combinations in flowers, leaves, blossom and textiles - and by the textures in stone, metals, wood and brick. Treatment of scenes might vary from hyper-photo-realistic to more impressionistic - I don't paint in any particular style, just what takes my fancy at the time.
