flowers - hanging basket, red barn

Red Barn is a wooden cottage just round the corner from where I live, and the owners are keen and excellent gardeners. I caught this hanging basket in early September, just as some of the flowers were drooping. I love the textures of wood - living or sawn, as in this picture. I used the ArtRage oil medium for most of the painting, with ink for the pot and 'glitter' dots for the wood surface.
