churches - st. giles, shermanbury
Painted with ProCreate. St. Giles is the parish church of the village of Shermanbury, just south of Henfield in West Sussex. The building dates from the 12th century, with additions in brick, and is reached from a gated lane off the main Henfield-Cowfold road. The stone walls date from the 1100s and were covered in render in 1747. The wooden bell tower sits at an angle on the roof!
