I've been drawing and painting on and off for most of my life - in between working as a professional librarian by day (now retired) and a professional musician by night - and have always carried a camera with me. In my younger days, my drawings and watercolours were done seated on a small folding chair with sketchbooks, ink, paper, colours, brushes, pens and all the associated paraphernalia close to hand. I started doing graphic work on my Mac Book Pro, using Photoshop and the less sophisticated Pixelmator, around 2009. In 2018 I tried out the paint program ArtRage, and most of my illustrative work is now done using that program - with my Mac Book, and a Wacom Intuos tablet and stylus. Outdoor scenes are documented by high quality reference photographs. No more dodging weather and enduring traffic fumes - except to get to the pub!
I hope you enjoy my illustrations. Check the GALLERY page to see the prints and what's for sale - with prices.
